Kagami-Ike pond in Shinoda-no-Mori forest

Located in the northern part of the precinct of Hijiri shrine and is known as the place where Abeno Yasuna, a father of Abeno Seimei, helped the white fox, a mother.

This pond also plays an important role as the stage of the white fox incarnation and her heartbreaking farewell with her child. Kagami-Ike pond is designated as a historic spot in Izumi City with the legend.
