Komyo-Ike pond
The largest pond which was constructed by taking the water of Komyo-no-taki falls for its associations Empress Komyo and damming back the valley of Wada and Murodo. It seems to have been constructed in ancient days because of its name, however, it is the new pond constructed in Showa era. It is well-known because a lot of Korean people had engaged in its building and construction. There is a memorial monument erected to the memory of Korean laborers near the embankment.
First, this pond was constructed for irrigating about 1,700 villages in Senboku area but now is made use of precious drinking water for people in Izumi City Cultural Asset Activation Promotion Committee.
