Marukasayama Tumulus

The key-hole shaped tumulus having a total length of about 100m constructed in the western part of Shinodayama Kyuryo Hill. According to the clay images collected in the past, this tumulus seems to have been constructed in the late 4th century

This must be thought as the moat filled with water around a castle because of this tumulus being surrounded by ponds on three sides. This is the only tumulus that has the site of the moat in Izumi.
