The Takahashi family residence

The Takahashi family is said to be “The Fleeing Heike Warrior” and took the secure possession of territory, the Ikeda-no-sho area in the Middle Ages. In Edo period, they returned to field and had served as shoya (a village headman) in Ikedashimo village. In Edo period, the front yard of the residence was used as “Nasshoba”, the place to pay the taxes.

The existent main building, important cultural property, was built before in the middle 17th century.

But it is usually closed to the public.
